Pool / Spa Inspections
Purchasing a home in Charlotte is exciting and, in many cases, is so much more than an investment. You may be buying your first home, starting a new period of life, or upgrading your current living situation. Whatever the reason for investing in real estate, it is a significant investment, and nothing would be worse than to excitedly purchase a new home and realize that it is rite with problems, signs of ill repair, and simply doesn’t live up to your expectations.
For this reason, it’s important to always invest in a home inspection as well as a pool inspection.
What Is a Pool Inspection?
A pool inspection is an additional service of the home inspection process that will evaluate the current condition of various parts related to a pool or spa.
We Will Evaluate:
- Surface condition (plaster, vinyl, fiberglass)
- Coping edge
- Tile band
- Pool lights
- Pumps, valves, visible plumbing
- Pool furnace
- GFCI protection
- Fill valves
- Solar panels
- Safety drain covers
- Safety ledge
- And other related parts
We will not usually perform any tests that require draining the pool or other invasive inspections.
Why Should I Get A Pool Inspection?
Investing in a pool inspection is just as important as a home inspection. Why? Because just like a home, a pool can receive a lot of use and, if not cared for by its previous owners, can be a headache for you, the new owners. A lot can happen over the years of use and abuse, and like anytime you are buying property, you should always know exactly what you’re getting.
How Long Will A Pool Inspection Take?
A pool inspection should only take an hour or two depending on what your pool inspection entails. Some pool inspectors will only survey part of the pool while others will test the entire system including the underlying plumbing.
